*1999 Frias Spring Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon
Frias Family Vineyard Spring Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley, USA 1999
The vineyard is located on Spring Mountain, a sub-appellation of the Napa Valley. The area is comprised of only 8,600 acres, mostly unplanted, and is well known for producing bold Bordeaux varietal wines. The appellation is bordered by Diamond Mountain to the North, with the St. Helena Appellation to the South and East and Sonoma County to the West. Although Frias Family Vineyard is small, we have many different soil types which add to the overall complexity of the wines. The hillside vineyard is quite rocky with lighter colored clay. The lower vineyard is less rocky and comprised of red clay with one acre planted on volcanic ash.
We focus only on producing the finest Estate Grown Cabernet Sauvignon. Our operation is small and family owned. My wife and grown children help carry out this labor of love by participating in nurturing the vines, blending, bottling and (of course) quality control! Our wines are about uniqueness and the better things in life. We offer several Napa Valley wines, as well as two 100% single vineyard Cabernet Sauvignons that offer a microclimate taste of the Spring Mountain and St. Helena Appellations. Enjoy!
