*2005 Lail Vineyards J. Daniel Cuvée Cabernet Sauvignon
Lail Vineyards J. Daniel Cuvee Cabernet Sauvignon 2005, Napa Valley, USA
The 2005 J. Daniel Cuvee has put on considerable weight since last year, and the good news is that there are 1,400 cases of it. Dense ruby/purple in color with notes of graphite, black currant, coffee bean, crushed rock, chocolate, and spice, this 100% Cabernet Sauvignon is full-bodied, powerful, tannic, and seems to combine the best of both a top Bordeaux and a Napa Cabernet Sauvignon. (RP)
J. Daniel Cuvée is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon grown on extraordinary and distinct Napa Valley sites. This multi-vineyards cuvée is assembled over its 20 months of aging in barrels, during which we seek the greatest expression of harmony and balance from that vintage. Our flagship bottling is named in honor of founder Robin Lail's father, John Daniel, Jr., a true innovator who produced legendary wines.
