Kokomo Sparkling Wine Blanc de Blanc, Chardonnay, Peters Vineyard, Russian River Valley
Made in méthode champenoise style from Chardonnay grapes, this offers an entirely appropriate simplicity of lemon-lime citrus and green apple, with balanced acidity. It finishes slightly sweet.
Straw yellow in color with an aromatic bouquet of blood oranges, green apples and toasty brioche. On the palate, this wine is refreshing and light with an elegant dry finish and bright citrus flavors.
The Chardonnay had a larger than normal crop, so we thinned more aggressively than usual and the flavors were robust. We decided to pick at 19 brix of sugar to showcase the acidity.

- Fermented in stainless steel tanks at temperatures of 55° to 60°F to retain vibrancy and freshness
- This Chardonnay base wine was all clone 4 on St. George rootstock
- Aging on the yeast for 2 years developed great complexity and pinpoint, lasting effervescence
